Since President Rodrigo Duterte came to power, he was bombarded by criticisms and intervention from other other countries because of his war against illegal drugs, but a U.S Senator believes that other nations must respect the newly elected President by the people of the Philippines.
Former head of Pentagon’s criminal law division and American Senator Richard Black, in an interview last year with EIR Asia expert Mike Billington said that other nations must respect the actions of President Rodrigo Duterte because the Filipino know the real problem of their own country.
“The people of the Philippines elected Rodrigo Duterte since they wanted law and order, and he gave it to them. They have chosen a very strong ruler,” Richard Black said in the interview.
The US Senator believes that his country must get inspired by the action of the Philippines to eradicate illegal drugs, he also narrated how war on drugs in America stoped by the U.S politicians that made their drug problem worse.
He also said that it’s a shame that U.S would broke their relationship with their closest ally just because they don’t like the actions of the President who got elected by the majority.
Senator Richard Black’s interview went viral last year and now it circulated again on social media after the European Union attempting to interfere the arrest of Senator Leila De Lima because they believe that she was politically persecuted while in fact she was arrested because of her connection in illegal drug trade.
The opposition also allegedly trying to use the international community to lose the popularity of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Last week, an impeachment complaint was also filed against Rodrigo Duterte by the Magdalo and the lawyer of self confessed killer Edgar Matobato wanted the International Criminal Court to investigate the alleged extrajudicial killings committed by the President.
